9. Rocky the Dolphin
Do you remember Rocky the Dolphin? He is pictured here with his trainer at Marineland in Morecambe which was billed as Europe's first oceanarium. Rocky was the aquarium's last remaining dolphin who was eventually released into the Caribbean sea in September 1991. His fate remained unknown. Marineland closed in 1990 and was demolished in 1992. 10. Cross Bay Walk

11. Beauty surrounds, health abounds
This has been Morecambe's motto since its tourism heyday. The town mosaic displaying the resort's crest and the motto, 'Beauty surrounds, health abounds', was originally situated outside The Arndale shopping centre where it was a draw for generations of children over the years, who enjoyed running up and down it from a young age.
