5. The Shrimps

6. Blue Seagull Swimming Badge
Anyone remember getting their Blue Seagull Swimming Badge from the former Morecambe Super Swimming Stadium? Young children earned the award for swimming one length of the pool which was a massive 396ft x 110ft. The Super Swimming Stadium was one of the grandest of the 1930s modernist seaside lidos and was located on the site where Eden Project Morecambe will be built. Photo: Submit
7. The Nuclear Arms
Do you sometimes call The Duke of Rothesay pub, The Nuclear Arms? It earned its nickname due to its close proximity to Heysham nuclear power station. Photo: Google
8. Clock Tower
The Clock Tower on Morecambe’s Marine Road Central is one of the town’s distinctive landmarks and there'll be many a Morecambrian who has uttered the immortal words, "I'll meet you by the Clock Tower". The Tower was designed by Cressey and Keighley, an architectural practice on Euston Road and was built by Messrs Edmundson. The clock was made by Rhodes of Lancaster and was declared ready on September 6 1905. The structure is currently undergoing repairs to make it tick again. Photo: Kelvin Stuttard
