Lancaster and Carnforth tips have reopened following Storm Boelo
Recycling centres across Lancashire have reopened following Storm Boelo - all bar one.
A number of centres were closed yesterday morning (Sunday) due to high winds including Burnley, Burscough, Carnforth, Chorley, Farington, Haslingden, Lancaster, Lytham and Skelmersdale.
A spokesperson for Lancashire County Council said at the time: “Sorry for the inconvenience.
“We're keeping an eye on weather to see if we can open them if the wind drops. We'll post any updates in the comments of this post.”

Providing a fresh update this morning, (Monday) they said: “We can confirm that all of our recycling centres are now open again, with the exception of Skelmersdale HWRC for safety reasons, due to having no electricity and several fallen trees on site as a result of the storms.
“We will let you know when the site is open again. Thank you for your patience.”
They added: “Another Met Office yellow weather warning is in place for winds in the North West, from 6pm today until 3am on Tuesday, so we're keeping an eye on the situation and will keep you updated on any further closures.
“Please take care if you're out and about.”
