Indie stars Gene to play Lancaster show as part of Everywhere At Once festival

Indie stars Gene have announced they will be performing in Lancaster as part of the Everywhere At Once festival later this month.

Taking place on what would have been the Glastonbury Festival weekend of June 26 to 28, 2026, hundreds of grassroots music venues across the country will unite for the UK’s largest festival - Everywhere At Once.

Gene will be playing at Kanteena in Lancaster on Sunday, June 28, with support from Welsh singer/songwriter Edie Bens.

Organised by Music Venue Trust, the charity that supports grassroots music venues, and powered by The National Lottery, the festival will celebrate the grassroots network that British music is built on - the places where artists first step on the stage, where Glastonbury headliners hone their craft, and where communities have access to local and affordable live music.

More than 2,000 artists will perform across the weekend, representing the full spectrum of the UK’s music scene.

From dance and electronic music to indie, rock, grime, pop, jazz, folk, punk, soul and more, Everywhere At Once showcases the extraordinary diversity and creativity thriving in grassroots venues across the country.

Established artists including Fatboy Slim, Glenn Tilbrook, and The Divine Comedy, amongst many others, will perform intimate grassroots venue shows alongside emerging local talent and breakthrough new acts, highlighting the vital role these venues play in developing the next generation of British music.

Gene said: “We are thrilled to be playing these special, intimate headline shows this June in Southampton, Newport, and Lancaster! These shows will be part of the Music Venues Trust's new initiative, ‘Everywhere At Once,’ powered by The National Lottery. It’s all about celebrating and highlighting the local independent music venues that keep live music alive across the country. We can’t wait to see you there.”
