Morecambe will face a fellow National League North club in the next round of the FA Cup
Morecambe have another home tie after confirmation of the draw for the FA Cup’s third qualifying round.
The draw for the penultimate qualifying round stage was announced on Monday afternoon, with the Shrimps welcoming their fellow National League North club to the Halo Aerospace Stadium.
The match is due to take place a week on Saturday, October 3, with ticket details and further information available in due course.
A win would see Adam Lakeland’s players progress into the final qualifying round, when the National League top flight clubs enter the draw.
Victory would also give Morecambe £5,625 from the competition’s central prize fund, with £1,875 going to the losers.
The club has already made £3,375 in prize money following last Saturday’s home victory against Southport, in which Paul Lewis and Isaac Buckley-Ricketts were on target.
Darlington progressed to this stage with a 4-2 win at Redcar Town last weekend.
The two teams are also due to meet each other in the league next month, with Morecambe welcoming back Darlington on Tuesday, October 27.
The reverse fixture is also a midweek game, taking place on Tuesday, February 16.
