Lancaster City fixtures: Ashton away day launches season for the Dolly Blues

Their NPL campaign begins with a visit to Ashton United on August 8.

Last season the Dolly Blues did the double over the Greater Manchester club, who finished nine points below them in tenth.

The first home game comes three days later against last season's play-off finalists Warrington Rylands.

A hectic August of eight league matches contrasts with a mere two in September, when Lancaster enter the FA Cup and FA Trophy.

City's August opponents include three of this season's new clubs. Promoted Redcar Athletic and Bury are both back-to-back league champions, while Leicestershire club Quorn switch from the Southern Premier.

In the holiday fixtures against Bamber Bridge, Lancaster are at home for Christmas and away at Easter.
