Actors, international sports stars and even a Nobel Prize winner have their roots in the town of Morecambe.

5. Wayne Hemingway
Wayne Hemingway, founder of the Red Or Dead fashion label, was born and grew up in Morecambe. In 1999, having sold Red or Dead, he co-founded Hemingway Design which specialises in affordable and social design. 6. Eric Morecambe
No gallery of Morecambe's famous faces would be complete without the comedian who took the resort's name and made it his own. Eric Morecambe was born at 12.30pm on May 14 1926 at 42 Buxton Street, Morecambe, to George and Sadie (née Robinson) Bartholomew. He was christened on June 6 as John Eric Bartholomew. 7. Graham Hicks
Morecambe-born Hicks is the 2019 Britain's Strongest man. He was a keen sportsman in his childhood and teens although his main interest was football. He started training in the gym as a bodybuilder and at the age of 25, a friend asked him to try strongman training with him. The rest is history. Photo: Marisa Cashill
8. Paul Hayes
Antiques expert and television personality, Paul Hayes, was born on August 4 1970 in Morecambe. He has appeared in BBC's Bargain Hunt, Housecall and Cash in the Attic. He was also appointed by Crimewatch as their resident stolen antiques expert and presented Car Booty on BBC One. Hayes began trading Dinky Toys at the age of six and aged 19, he followed his father into the antiques business. His first sale was an old television. From the early 1990s, he owned an antiques shop in Morecambe. Photo: Garth Hamer
