Stars spotted in Morecambe as filming begins for new series of The Bay
The lead stars of ITV crime drama The Bay are back in town as filming gets under way for the latest series.
As we reported on Wednesday, the TV crews have returned to film the sixth series of the hit show.
And the stars have returned with them, with Marsha Thomason – who plays DS Jenn Townsend – posing with a clapperboard near the war memorial on the prom.

They said: “Filming has officially begun on The Bay Series 6.
"DS Jenn Townsend is heading into another gripping mystery. This time, a shocking discovery on the prom pulls Morecambe’s MIU into a case full of secrets, suspicion and dangerous connections.”
Scenes have already been shot at various locations around the town, including Queen Street – which saw Grow Kitchen transformed into a pizzeria earlier this week – as well as on the prom and at The Lord Nelson pub, which said they were closed on Thursday evening for filming.
The new series will see the return of Morecambe’s Major Investigation Unit, investigating the murder of teenage foster child Logan Marsden.
As tensions rise across the community, hidden connections begin to surface.
The Bay was co-created and written by Lancaster-based Daragh Carville, and also stars actor Daniel Ryan as DI Tony Manning.
