5. Bailey
Bailey, Jack Russell Terrier , male , 10 years old. Bailey is a complicated man looking for a new home where he can do his own thing and not be fussed with too much. Bailey is set in his ways and likes to get his own way, like most terriers he is strong willed and if allowed he will take ownership of his new owner and home. Bailey enjoys walks and walks well on lead; he needs to be the only dog in his new home and with people who have had the breed before. He has snapped and bitten people in the past so he can not be homed with children of any age. A single owner who can take the time to let Bailey settle and understand he needs his space would be best. Bailey is currently on pain medication for arthritis which will need to be continued. Bobby, Pom x Yorkie , male , three years one month old. Bobby is a headstrong chap looking for a home with new owners who have the time to put some training in to getting him well socialized. He has never been socialized with other animals and can therefore be reactive when on lead - so far while with Animal Care they have been mixing Bobby with some dogs good at respecting the space of others and he seems to more fearful of them than anything. but is slowly getting used to sharing his space with them. This is something Animal Care will be working on during his time with them. Bobby will need an adult only home. He is a clever little man who is very treat motivated. He can't wait to find his new home Photo: Animal Care Lancaster
Bronson, French Bulldog , male , five years seven months old. Bronson is a very handsome boy, he is a big stocky lad but a big softy. Benson loves toys and likes carrying them round in his mouth, he also loves treats. He is used to being left for short periods , he is good on lead, pulls a little. He is good with other dogs and has lived with children. Bronson has only just arrived so is still settling in but he seems like a lovely sweet boy. Photo: Animal Care Lancaster
Chompie, Patterdale cross , male , 10 years two months old. Sadly Chompie has been with Animakl Care for quite a few years now. He is a complicated man who needs an experienced owner with a routine. He is very particular about having some kind of order with his day and can get quite distressed if his routine changes. His absolute favourite thing is sitting in the grass in the sunshine and watching the world go by with a tennis ball in his mouth. From a previous home trial Chompie had he would probably be happiest with someone who is around most of the time, maybe who will let him sleep in their room overnight too. Chompie walks with a muzzle on as if he is on the lead and one of his stress triggers goes off he takes it out on his lead, he chewed through multiple leads when he first arrived. Once he is comfortable he is the biggest soft lump, he loves to sit on a lap or nuzzle for big cuddles. While forming bonds with people he has been known to try and push boundaries and this usually involves him trying to grab hold of baggy clothing, he does respond to being firmly told no when he gets in to one of these moods though. His ideal home would be as the only pet and have a secure garden to enjoy with no neighbouring dogs in an adult only quiet household. He hopes someone will give him the chance he deserves Photo: Animal Care Lancaster
