New gaming centre to open in Lancaster

Hyper Gaming has been created as a positive, welcoming space for the whole community.

While it offers a great environment for young people to focus, socialise, and stay engaged in something productive, it is very much not just for kids.

Adults are equally welcome – whether that’s going down to grind a few hours in a proper arena-style atmosphere, taking part in team sessions, or simply enjoying competitive gaming in a social setting.

The firm is in the process of setting up an eSports team, with plans to compete against other gaming and eSports arenas across the country.

This gives players of all ages something to work towards, encouraging teamwork, discipline, and confidence.

Hyper Gaming is also available for private events and parties, including birthday parties, Fortnite parties, Minecraft parties, LAN parties, and custom gaming events. It’s a flexible space designed to suit a wide range of occasions.

Gaming sessions are £5 per hour, and alongside the gaming, they offer a selection of snacks and drinks, including hot dogs, burgers, milkshakes, soft drinks, crisps, and chocolate, making it a complete social venue rather than just rows of consoles.

The venue is run day-to-day by Victoria, who helped set up Hyper Gaming.

Hyper Gaming is located at D3 Thetis Road, Lancaster, LA1 5XU, just off St George’s Quay.

A spokesman said: “We believe Hyper Gaming will be a real asset to Lancaster, offering a modern, inclusive environment for individuals, groups, and families, and we’re proud to be opening this Sunday.
