PNE 7-0 Morecambe Ladies
Preston broke the deadlock after 20 minutes when a wind-assisted free-kick from just inside the Morecambe half looped over Jodie Woodburn and into the top of the net.
Preston made it 2-0 early in the second half when Makin played Laura Walker in on goal and she doubled the visitor’s lead.

Hide AdSwarbrick then hit a left-footer over the bar before the ball was laid into the path of Hannah Forster who passed into the top left-hand corner to make it 3-0.
It took Preston 20 more minutes to increase their lead as substitute Kerrie Nickson drove in from the right and fired through a crowd into the far corner.
From the kick-off, Preston got the ball back and a couple of passes later Hannah Forster looped a shot into the top left-hand corner.
Four minutes later Nickson again drove across the top of the area but this time was forced wide but she still managed to fire a low stinging drive which Woodburn parried.

Hide AdUnfortunately for Morecambe the ball fell into the path of Swarbrick who had an easy tap in.
There was still time for Natasha Flint to thread a ball through to Lagin Makin who slipped the ball under the advancing Baines to nail the final goal of the game and confine Morecambe to a 7-0 defeat.
