Morecambe man tried to engage child under 16 in 'sex chats'

A Morecambe man has pleaded guilty to trying to engage a child under 16 in ‘sex chats’.

Simon Binks, 44, of Dallam Avenue, Morecambe, appeared at Preston Magistrates’ Court charged with trying to engage a child under 16 in ‘sex chats’ in Lancaster on October 11, 2022.

Binks pleaded guilty and was given conditional bail.

He will be sentenced at Preston Crown Court on December 22.
