Come and join the garden celebrations
The celebration, on August 25, at the Silverdale reserve, will include
Annabel Rushton, Marketing Officer at RSPB Leighton Moss and Morecambe Bay nature reserves, said: “We have held a number of exciting events since the start of the year to recognise the reserve’s golden landmark and the garden party is set to be the best event yet.

Hide Ad“Since the site first became an RSPB nature reserve in 1964, it has gone from strength to strength and is now home to an abundance of rare and special wildlife from birds and butterflies to bats and badgers.
“We’ve worked so hard for wildlife here over the past 50 years, so we want to share this with the visitors that have been a hugely important part of everything.”
Visitors are encouraged to drop in to see old photographs from throughout the reserve’s past and to get involved in the making of butterfly feeders and nest-boxes.
Annabel added: “As the garden party is to be held on a bank holiday weekend, it’s the perfect chance to also explore more of the area and discover the amazing nature nearby.
