Amber’s a cut above the rest
Ten-year-old Amber Rutherford has raised thousands for CancerCare after her mum was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Amber decided to chop her locks to donate to The Little Princess Trust after witnessing her mum, Tina Knott, lose her own hair due to chemotherapy treatment.
Amber, from Lancaster, has raised £1,350 with the help of her family, friends and local businesses.
Tina Knott said: “Amber has coped really well with my illness and I am so proud she came up with this idea whilst supporting me at the same time.”
