The Notebook is an adaptation of the awardwinning novel of the same name and sees Forced Entertainment performers Richard Lowdon and Robin Arthur standing side by side to tell the twins story in an unsettling and uncanny double act.

The twins are evacuated to their impoverished grandmother’s farm in order to
shelter from the conflict.

There they are social outsiders, mavericks who survive and understand the world by a harsh private code.

The Notebook raises questions of personal ethics and politics in the wider context of war, issues which continue to be concerns in today’s modern world.

The performance is brought to The Dukes by Lancaster Arts at Lancaster University as part of the Lancaster Arts Festival of Questions, an event
debating politics and culture which runs from February 3-20.

The Notebook is recommended for anyone aged 14 plus. Tickets are £15 with a 10 per cent discount for concessions.
