3-1-5 gym Lancashire marks National Fitness Day
3-1-5 will throw open its doors on Wednesday, September 22, for the UK’s most active day of the year.
National Fitness Day, which takes place on Wednesday, September 22, will see a huge range of free events and taster sessions taking place across the UK – and 3-1-5 is no exception.
It’s just one of several occasions over the year when the popular gym opens its doors for free.
UK National Fitness Day recognises the role of sport and physical activity in our lives and will see people come together to celebrate the fun and benefits of physical activity. The theme for this year is ‘Fitness Unites Us’ as communities across the UK recognise our common interest in fitness and the social and mental power of being active, particularly in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
It’s great to see this national initiative aimed at getting people of all ages and all abilities active, while making use of the great resources indoors and outdoors we are blessed with locally, says the 3-1-5 team.
“At 3-1-5 we are passionate about building a healthy, strong, active community and supporting each other through encouragement and enjoyment,” said Sean Thornton, managing director. “Together, let’s get more people more active, more often.
“Despite the challenges faced during the pandemic, one of our sector’s successes has been its dedication to high standards of safety and care for its customers, staff and community, including the diligent monitoring of any COVID-19 cases reported.
“It has been heartening to see the enthusiastic return of so many of our members to our club with confidence over the summer, demonstrating just how valued these facilities are as part of the fabric of our communities,” Sean added.
3-1-5 Health Club is an award-winning and outstanding fitness and leisure facility incorporating the revolutionary X-Force Academy.
It houses a large fitness suite, three pools including a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam, sunbeds, squash courts and table tennis facilities all under one roof.
The club has a large, diverse studio programme and an in-house Stingray Swim School, plus new for 2021 is the large al fresco training area.
There’s free parking on site for 280 cars, a licences café, large Wi-Fi lounge and beauty and physiotherapy rooms.
A sports retail unit and homeopathic therapy room make 3-1-5 everyone’s space to relax, rejuvenate and revitalise.
