Parsons comes to Lancaster

The lead writer on the ultimate TV satirical puppet show will perform stand up in Lancaster later this month.

Andy Parsons was one of the brains behind Spitting Image and has since carved out a career as a comedian and panel show mainstay.

With four sell out national tours, three DVD releases and a special for Comedy Central already under his belt, Andy is back on the road and coming to the Grand Theatre on May 21.

Andy’s fifth show ‘Live and Unleashed- But Naturally Cautious’ will see the star of BBC2’s ‘Mock The Week’ and ‘Live at the Apollo’ deliver his trademark sharp comedy.

Andy has also appeared on Q1 (BBC2), The Politics Show (BBC1), Newsnight (BBC2), World’s Most Dangerous Roads(BBC2), Saturday Live(ITV) AND Channel 4’s Comedy Gala at the 02.

He performs at the Grand on Thursday, May 21, at 8pm, tickets cost £15. Call 01524 64695.

Also at the Grand this week are Lancaster Footlights’ performances of Hairspray, every night from Thursday to Saturday, with an additional matinee on Saturday at 2.30pm.

Irish band The Kilkennys will play live on Sunday at 7.30pm.

Top Scottish comedian Kevin Bridges has two shows, on Monday and Tuesday. Both are sold out.

Next week’s show by Strictly Come Dancing star Pasha Kovalev, on May 19, is also sold out.
