That Spring Thing returns to Morecambe’s West End on Sunday (April 8) from 12pm to 4pm, celebrating the arrival of spring with a neighbourhood party of planting, music, food, face-painting, crafts and storytelling.

Taking place in the West End Garden of Splendour, behind More Music, activities at this free event include a performance from international ensemble Pandvani108, who are bringing The Gods and Monsters Show to Morecambe.

Inspired by a 3,000 year old Indian epic-singing tradition, Pandvani108 combine performance storytelling, music and song to turn on the epic jukebox and bring a wild performance of unbowdlerised myth and epic in short form style.

Gods, monsters, warriors and divas from Greece, Ireland, Scandinavia, India and beyond, are all hauled centre stage for The Gods and Monsters Show.More Music’s carnival band Baybeat will also be performing on the day.

The event is free and open to all ages.

More Music is a music and education charity based at the Hothouse, in Morecambe, with 21 years’ experience of delivering workshops, training, performances and festivals across the district, region and beyond. More Music seeks to build confidence and spirit in individuals and communities through the arts, especially music.
