UK tour for Art Club

Sharply stylish band The Art Club have swapped one seaside resort for another as they aim a spangly assault on the music world.

The romantic indie pop group have relocated from Morecambe to Brighton prior to a UK tour, to include a date in April in Paris!

Their lusciously retro debut single ‘Let’s Start Again’ has been wearing out The Guide’s iPod since last September and the group recently had airplay on Steve Lamacq’s BBC6 Music show.

The Art Club’s sound combines 60s girl group sheen with jangly guitar and Echo and the Bunnymen-style angst fronted by charismatic David Murdoch, who is currently studying at the University of Brighton.

The band is working on a follow-up single, entitled ‘Best Friend’, to be released around Easter when their tour takes place.

Tour dates are: April 11 - Proud Camden, London, April 19- Friars Court, Warrington, April 20 - Kraak Gallery, Manchester, April 24 - Le Pop In, Paris, May 7 - Buffalo Bar, London, May 10 - Prince Albert, Brighton, May 17 - The Great Gatsby, Sheffield, May 18 - Mad Ferret, Preston, June 4 - Proud Camden, London.
