Some Eggs, a Harp, a Monkey and A Room Full of Mirrors

The Lovely Eggs
The Lovely Eggs

The Lovely Eggs perform their first show in the city for more than a year at The Yorkshire House on Friday night.

The Lancaster-based duo are joined on the night by Manchester electro-folk-storytellers Harp and a Monkey.

They’ve had a hectic summer of festivals, and will be first up on the stage.

Also from Manchester, solo performer Richard Lomax plays guitar and sings though is partial to the odd Omnichord – comparisons drawn have been wide and varied including Nick Cave, Frank Black, Bowie and Jeff Lewis.

As if that wasn’t enough, Cumbria’s finest Room Full of Mirrors return to the music festival with their bonkers blend of up-tempo Balkan-ceilidh-reggae madness, and are last on the bill.

The show starts at 7.30pm and entry/tickets are £7 for all four acts or you can watch Harp and a Monkey, which is a child friendly show, for £3 on the door.

From 9pm onwards, entry is £5 on the door.
