Morecambe theatre to host zoo party

Escape Events will be bringing the Zoo Party to the Winter Gardens this August for a night of music, games and more.

DJs famous for their following in Ibiza will perform their biggest dance hits – and it’s all for helping put Morecambe on the map.

“We want people to turn up with a good attitude and get ready to dance the night away,” said DJ Matt Thiss, who is part of the Escape Team and will also be performing on the night.

“There is no venue like the Winter Gardens in this area. It’s so unique and our last event was so special, we had to do another event here.”

The Escape team, which also includes Dave Lee and Summer Jenkins, brought a Halloween Party to the theatre in 2016, attracting thousands of guests and top acts.

This year the Zoo party will welcome headliners Lovely Laura and Ben Santiago from Ibiza, Nadia Lucy from Burnley, who recently played the main stage at Manchester’s Warehouse Project.

“We’ve decided to go with the zoo theme because customers loved getting dressed up at our last event so we wanted to get that vibe again,” said Matt.

The party will also feature a vinyl only room, with local DJs playing breaks, old school and classic trance tracks. Early bird tickets sold out for the event in less than hour.

“We’re in the top three fastest selling events on Skiddle (leading ticket website in UK),” said Matt.

“We want to thank everybody for their support.”

The event is for 18+ on Friday August 3 from 7pm-2am.
