Thousands of revellers have been enjoying the sights and sounds of Lancaster Music Festival which has taken over the city this weekend.
The festival atmosphere is unmistakable as the many venues and outdoor spaces gear up for another day of live music from the hundreds of artists booked to perform over the five day event.
Lancaster Castle has been the centrepiece for the festival, with hundreds of people filling up the courtyard to watch Ghanaian drumming band Kakatsitsi, and Lancaster’s Dead Man’s Hand and Greenheart on Saturday.
The Feud headlined and closed an extremenly successful day in the city’s biggest festival venue.
Music continues today, Sunday, at the castle, with Howard Haigh opening the stage at 1pm.
There will also be a new stage outside the Judges Lodgings today with music from Africa and South America.
Sun Square, Market Square, and Dalton Square also host shows, with the city’s many pubs, bars, restaurants and shops also taking part.
There are even performances in Barclays Bank, in Market Square, which is opening for customers on a Sunday for the music festival.
