Fresh from supporting I Am Kloot at Manchester Cathedral and with a new album in the bag, 2011 promises to be a big year for Stuart Anthony’s Long Lost Band.

Featuring Lancaster’s Stuart Anthony on vocals and guitar, Matt Appleton on lead guitar, Oscar Armer on bass, Greg Maddox on percussion and Peter French sessioning keyboards for the album, the band started recording The Big Light Secret last year and it is now finished.

They supported Mercury Prize nominees I Am Kloot on December 3 and their new album, produced by Paul Walmsley, is being seen as a fascinating change of direction that still has an acoustic edge.

Stuart Anthony’s Long Last Band perform at the Yorkshire House on July 16, supported by David Rybka and the Victorian Dad Band.

David Rybka has embarked on successful tours of both Mexico and Spain within the past year.

The band frequently performs in venues across the north of England and is now looking to venture into new territory in order to promote the release of the forthcoming debut album The Thin Thread.
