Former Fairground Attraction singer appears at Lancaster Grand
Opening the show will be fellow Scot Siobhan Miller, one of the most outstanding voices amongst the new generation emerging in the vibrant Scottish folk and traditional music scene.
Eddi first came to fame as singer of Fairground Attraction, with their No1 hit Perfect, a song which she still often sings today. However, for over 20 years she has built her career as a solo singer, and this April tours with her five-piece band.

Hide AdShe is a compelling live performer, bringing joyous life to all forms of song, from the traditional to the contemporary. Whether singing the lyrics of fellow Scot Robert Burns, Parisian café lovesongs and laments, carefully chosen cover versions or traditional ballads, she is able to move people with a passion and instinct reminiscent of those who have influenced her.
Her rare blend of meltingly true vocals and towering romanticism combine with an enthralling stage presence to make her a powerful figure in contemporary British music. Lancaster is a city that has been a glaring gap in Eddi’s tour schedule, and her fans have had to get used to travelling further afield to see her perform, but at last they have the opportunity to see her locally.
Eddi Reader performs at The Grand in Lancaster at 8pm on Saturday, May 19.
