The sounds of East Lancashire head north this weekend for a show at The Yorkshire House in Lancaster.

Pigwitch and Bastard of the Skies take to the stage tomorrow night, Friday July 3, at the Parliament Street venue.

Formed in 2011, five piece rock and roll band Pigwitch - Lewis, Turner, Dixon, Webb and Whitehead - hail from the Blackburn area, with ties to Clitheroe, Great Harwood and Darwen.

Great Harwood based Bastard of the Skies feature vocalist and guitarist Matt Richardson, formerly of rock band Missed-Her-Bliss.

Bastard of the Skies recently put out a split LP with Birmingham based, “traditional doom” three piece Grimpen Mire.

Expect an evening of extreme “sludge metal”, doom and rock and roll from these two renowned purveyors of heavy guitar music.

Entry on the door is fee, with donations encouraged. The show starts around 9.30pm.
