Marriage proposal is a first for Morecambe Music Festival

A Morecambe Music Festival -goer plucked up the courage to propose to his partner during the two day event.

Spokesman for the festival Greg Lambert said: “This was a first for Morecambe Music Festival - a wedding proposal!

The bloke Kieran came up during Stuart Michael’s set outside the Winter Gardens , got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend Mae!

“The couple had met only 12 days before at Gizmo’s! Congratulations to Kieran and Mae!”

In video footage filmed at the scene, Mae says yes to Kieran’s proposal.

“The festival is what Morecambe needs and puts the town back on the map,” said Greg.
