Lancaster dance festival is Big Up North

The region's newest, hottest dance theatre festival comes to Lancaster this April.

The Big Up North festival arrives in Lancaster this April.

Big Up North is a celebration of a decade of Ludus Dance and The Dukes showcasing the best emerging talent in the city.

From street dance inspired by Oliver Twist to an Andy Warhol-inspired piece, Big Up North promises exceptional dance theatre performance that’s fresh, exciting and original and includes different dance forms, dance for camera and physical theatre.

The dancers performing at The Dukes on April 20 and 21 have been selected by a professional panel and include youth and community groups and early career artists from around Lancashire, Cumbria, Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Fylde.
