The work of local artist Denise Keen – Junk, from Knott End is blended with regional, national and international artists in this thought provoking exhibition of 48 artworks by 27 artists, spanning six nationalities.

Roy Smith from the studios said: “We are very pleased to be able to put on an exhibition of this calibre in Lancaster. It’s a delight to be able to show the work of artists exhibiting nationally in London and beyond, and bring this to a Lancaster audience.”

The exhibition shows a wide range of responses to the idea of Home, including homelessness and impermanent homes, homes in nature, memories of the past and home, national identity and home, collective belonging, versus notions of exile and conformity, home as the body, as a haven.

Works range from paintings and prints, through sculpture in wood and fabric, based on found objects, to embroidered wall hangings.

The exhibition is open Thursday 5pm to 7pm and Friday to Saturday 11am to 5.30pm.
