Enjoy American jazz in Morecambe

If you like jazz then you are in for a treat.

World renowned saxophonist, Harry Allen, is coming to Morecambe with jazz threesome the Kincaid Trio on Thursday November 10.

Born in Washington DC and raised in Los Angeles, Harry Allen has more than 30 recordings to his name and has performed at jazz festivals and clubs worldwide, frequently touring the United States, Europe and Asia.

He has performed with Rosemary Clooney, Ray Brown, Hank Jones, Frank Wess, Flip Phillips, Scott Hamilton and many more.

He will be joined by the Kincaid Trio, who have become the musicians of choice for many visiting artists, performing with the likes of Scott Hamilton, Alan Barnes, Art Themen, Mark Nightingale and many more.

They also perform in various jazz venues and festivals throughout the country as a standalone trio.

Known for their versatility they play a wide range of styles from traditional to contemporary jazz, and have produced three albums to date.

The trio consists of Tom Kincaid on piano, Frank Grime on double bass and Gaz Hughes on drums.

The day after the Platform will welcome Les McKeown’s Bay City Rollers on Friday November 11 at 7.30pm.
