PHOTOGRAPHS taken in Tokyo shortly before the recent tsunami and earthquakes, make up an exhibition by Caton-based photographer Mark Harrison.
In November, Mark travelled around Japan, and Tokyo in particular, taking photographs of people going about their daily lives. His travel photography has taken him to 58 countries where he has documented the lives of the people.
He has a keen eye for shape and form which results in the individuals in his work becoming part of the alien landscape.
Mark, who works in the Lake District as a press photographer, found the people of Japan to be reserved and polite as well as warm and fascinated by the Western world.
