Wild nature and love are themes of Ben's debut album
Armed with a guitar and living in a car with the sea for a bath, no plan or maps and precious little underwear, Ben Maggs drew upon his adventures around the British Isles for his debut release Come As You Are in November 2015.

He said that connecting with a live audience is a precious experience, but that this particular gig has even greater significance.
“Playing in Carnforth is something I am really excited about, especially as it’s at the Heritage Centre, which I remember visiting with my family many moons ago,” he said.

“As a boy I was often in Lancashire as I have close family in Morecambe.
“Most of my other memories are of places like Happy Mount Park, Frontier Land, Morcambe Bay near the Hest Bank Signal Box and wandering by the canal in Bolton Le Sands. If I had to describe the themes of the album and the tour, I’d say wild nature, human nature and the nature of love.”

“As soon as I knew the gig in Carnforth was a possibility I jumped at the chance. I’ve wanted to play in the area for so long, I’m delighted it’s finally happening. Having so many memories of being here when I was growing up, it feels a bit like heading home”.
With Ben’s genuine warmth, absolutely ‘nothing held back’ performance, his beautifully expressive vocals and melodic lyricism carried exquisitely by resonant acoustic guitar, you can expect nothing less than the full and free expression of the heart and soul of this talented troubadour.
