7. Lancaster Crafty Bats Fun Palace: Lancaster-based artist Hilli is encouraging her neighbours to make a bat (or other creature) to display in their windows. Video giving inspiration coming soon on our social media, so you can make a bat for yours!

8. Lancaster One Minute Monologues Fun Palace: There are a range of one minute monologue texts written by finalists in Atticus Books' regular one minute monologue competition. Organisers are encouraging people to ask for a monologue text by contacting them on social media and/or by emailing [email protected]. Individuals can then perform the texts and, if they like, upload a video of their performances to social media. Or... of course... write and perform your own one minute monologue of any kind.

9. Lancaster Hundredth Birthday Poem Fun Palace: a poem called "June 8 2038" will soon be on Lancaster Fun Palace social media - and text copies t can be provided too, if anyone would like. It was written by Dr Norbert Hirschborn.

In 1993 President Clinton declared Dr Norbert Hirschhorn to be an "American Health Hero" whose pioneering work in the field of pediatrics/rehydration therapy had saved millions of lives. In Sept 2016 the same Dr Hirschhorn won first prize at a One Minute Monologue event held at Lancaster Library as part of a competition run by Atticus Bookshop. With the writer's kind permission the winning piece has been recorded for Lancaster Fun Palace.

Now...Imagine YOUR 100th Birthday! What sort of day is it? What kind of world? How will you be marking your 100 years on the planet? Perhaps of course you'll be spending it on another planet altogether... either way Lancaster Fun Palace would like to hear from you ... Write your own 100th birthday monologue, story or poem... in no more than 100 words and share it with us as a text or performance. Share on social media or email to funpalacelancaster.org.uk

10. Lancaster Carolyn's Gardens Fun Palace: There are some tiny secret gardens near De Vitre Street in Lancaster. Have a wander through (in allowed family bubbles and socially distantly, please!) and then create your own tiny garden.

Use eventbrite to sign up for online events and a zoom link will be sent the day before the activity. If you take part in any of the activities offline (or on) please share on social media, tagging @lancasterfp on twitter or @lancasterfunpal on our new instagram account.
