Family favourites at The Dukes

The Dukes stages family theatre at the double this spring.

Based on Hans Fischer’s awardwinning picture book, Pitschi: The Kitten With Dreams comes to the Lancaster theatre on April 16 while Egg And Spoon, the perfect gentle introduction to the magic of theatre, is presented on May 7.

Pitschi is a tale which has delighted generations of children and cat lovers all around the world. Fed up of being a kitten, Pitschi embarks on an exciting adventure around the farm where she meets the other animals and finally realises that she can be happy exactly as she is.

Following the two performances, which take place at 11am and 1.30pm, children will be invited to meet and play with the animal characters from the show which is recommended for children aged two plus.

Egg And Spoon has entertained children worldwide and follows Birdy’s journey from glowing egg to one of the flock. It features a special growing tree, a butterfly party, and a chance to give Birdy a little stroke and a feed. Performances of Egg and Spoon, which is recommended for children aged one plus, take place at 11am and 1.30pm. Both shows are staged in The Round and tickets for each are priced £7/£5 concessions. Balcony standing tickets are £5.
