Triathlon: Gongs galore on big night for Lancaster club

Triathletes from City of Lancaster Triathlon were honoured at the recent Triathlon England North West presentation evening.

Trophies and awards where presented by the World Duathlon Champion and GB Triathlete Katie Hewison.

Collecting the girls trophy on behalf of COLT juniors for winning the NW Club Championship was Lydia Shenton, Pippa Darlington and Kirsty Maher.

Also collecting trophies for winning the Tristar 1 boys championship and Tristar 2 girls championship was 10-year-old Rhys Ashton and Lydia Shenton, 12.

Thomas Dowthwaite, 10, also collected a trophy for fourth position in the championship.

Andrew Horn collected the trophy for the North West Senior Series Duathlon Championship and Andrew Richardson, who is a coach with COLT and Carnforth Otters, received the North West Children’s Coach of the Year award.
