Georgia Hannam became British Biathlon Champion 2014 for the second consecutive year at the weekend.

Georgia was placed third after the 200m swim, 100 points behind first place.

Pushing hard on the 1600m run Georgia took an early lead along with fellow competitor Katie.

Both girls fought hard for the first 1200m with Katie just having the edge over Georgia at the finish line.

After what seemed like a long wait the results confirmed that Georgia had become U17 champion.

Earlier on in the day Georgia’s younger brother Shea(13) had competed in the U14 year old category.

Shea set a new personal best in the 100m swim and took an early lead on the 1600m run but he pushed too hard at the start and had to settle for third place on the run.

Shea was happy to take fifth place on the podium.
