Georgia travelled to Solihull to compete in the U19 age group, the horrendous weather conditions didn’t put Georgia off in the 1600m run, she took the lead from the start with the other competitors tucked in behind her sheltering from the wind, Georgia was able to hold onto her lead taking the fastest run in her age group.

A third place on the 200m swim meant Georgia had secured enough points to hold onto her title.

In the U15 age group Georgia’s younger brother Shea(14) put in a good performance on the 200m swim, against some incredible swimmers leaving him in 13th position, Shea knew he needed to give it everything on the 1600m run if he was going to podium.

The weather conditions worsened and there was now rain along with the strong winds to battle against.

Shea settled with two other athletes at front of the pack, until the last lap where he fought hard with fellow North West athlete Harvey Griffin right to the finish.

Both Shea and Harvey crossed the line together to both take fastest run.

Shea’s fantastic effort in the run secured him 2nd place on the podium.
