Lancaster have won the North West Junior Table Tennis League by a narrow three-point margin.
Abinhav Sinha, Adam Ordonez and Hudson Nuttall dominated the league from the first day in October last year and had to fight off strong competition from Preston and Furness.
The first match for our local team came against the Furness team who needed to win to draw level at the top.
However a magnificent effort from Sinha, who kept his 100 per cent record all through the tournament, and Ordonez made sure of a 3-3 draw.
Next up came Garstang A with Lancaster winning 5-1.
The title clinching result came when they won the local derby match with Morecambe.
The champions elect had to recover from losing their first set which was won by Matthew Westworth before finishing the match 5-1.
The Morecambe team of Naomi Collins, Madi Thompson and Westworth also had a good final day finishing the league in mid-table, a fine performance for the youngsters.
