First up for Quick was an easy win against Ken Richardson, 6-11, 5-11, 6-11.

The 3-1-5 number one had a harder match with Bradley Wilkinson squeezing home 11-9 in the final game of the set.

Toby Ellis had to give second best losing 3-2 to Quick to seal the match win for the visitors.

The doubles were a close run set with Graham Brandwood and Bob Quick comfortably winning 3-1.

The local juniors are busy preparing for the Lancashire County Championships to be held at Blackburn this weekend. Defending champions, Megan Dillon under 16, Alice Dillon under 14, Matthew Westworth under 11 boys and Genevieve Holchacks under 11 girls are in action.
