Swimming: Lancaster City team brings home eight gold medals at regional qualifier

Young Swimmers from Lancaster City swimming and Water Polo Club enjoyed success at the Bolton Metro regional qualifier.

In addition to a fine tally of eight gold, 11 silver and 14 bronze medals, a total of 35 personal best performances were achieved from 49 races from the team of nine boys and girls .Tobias Easton was in great form to win a full set of five gold medals and five personal bests from his events, including an excellent 50m freestyle time of 31 seconds.

Imogen Barker also got a full set of five personal bests showing very good improvement on her previous times.

Elizabeth Wareing swam consistently well in her six events to record four personal bests and won one gold, two silver and one bronze medal.

Anan Clarke had a fine gala, winning one gold, three silver and four bronze medals with some significant personal bests.

Hayden Sole and Jack Collett won 11 medals between them with Hayden collecting three silvers, three bronze and six personal best times while Jack took home two silver and three bronze with several personal bests.

Olivia Wyeth-Physick won two bronze medals in a full set of races and Isaac Quarry won a gold in the 50m breastroke with a great time together with personal bests.

Emily Wilson won silver in the 50m freestyle with a personal best and excellent time of 31 seconds.
