Lancaster Boxing Academy’s reigning National Schoolboy Champion remained undefeated with victory in Liverpool.

Levi Smith won for the seventh time in a row as he beat Lee Whelan from the host city’s famous Golden Gloves Amateur Boxing Club at the Envi nightclub.

Smith caught Whelan with clean hard punches from the opening bell and didn’t let up winning a clear, unanimous points decision.

On the same bill Josh Fisher maintained his great start to the new season with his third victory, using his superior skills to outbox his opponent Hamed Al-Sallimain also from the Golden Gloves gym.

Catching his opponent with long-range shots Fisher scored with big right hands in the second giving Al-Sallimain a standing count with the home fighter saved by the bell in the third as the Lancaster fighter looked to bring an early end to proceedings.
