There were 37 entries, a record for the event.

There was a couple of early shocks with the elimination of the 2013 Regional Champion Trevor Lamb 3-1 to the ever improving Vinny Gemson, and Andy Milliard, the Kendal professional who went down 3-1 to local stalwart Mick Simm.

The four semi-finalists were Dave Duffy, Mike Logan, Jonathon Stevenson and Steve Scott, and they will represent the area in the final stages against the qualifiers from Central Lancashire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester.
