Runners enjoy busy festive period

Lancaster and Morecambe AC runners enjoyed several races over the festive period.

At Rudolf’s Red Nose Race in Blackpool first for the club was Jayne Perry, running strongly over the five mile route in 37m.15.

In next was Louise Goddard with a good effort of 38m.19, followed by Steve Perry running well in 41m.23. David Wilkinson ran 42m.55 with wife Carole not too far behind in 43m.36.

Lauren Gora led home the Lancaster runners at the Boxing Day 10k in Leyland, with an excellent run of 43m.07 earning her third female prize.

Next was Russell Wareing in 50m.41, followed by David Wilkinson in 51m.47 and Carole Wilkinson in 56m.37.

At the Longridge seven mile race David Brown was first back for Lancaster, finishing eighth with a cracking effort of 42m.32 on the tough course.

Chris McGuire was next with a strong run of 58m.26, David Wilkinson running well in 59m.26 and Carole Wilkinson in 1h.05.41.
