Robin and Rio qualify for national competitions

Two Lancaster City Swimming and Water Polo Club swimmers have qualified for national competitions.

Robin Austin and Rio Quarry had previously made it through to the regional championships held in the Manchester Aquatics Centre long course pool.

Robin produced a fantastic swim to win the silver medal in the 50m breaststroke in a time of 33.65.

At the Level 1 long course event Manchester in May Rio won the bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke.

Two weeks later at the Rotherham level 1 long course event held in Sheffield, Robin won silver in the 100m breaststroke with Isaac Quarry, 10, brilliant in his first level 1 competition winning bronze in the 50m and 100m breaststroke races.

Robin has qualified for the British National finals in the 50m breaststroke at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.

Both Rio and Robin qualified for the English national finals in Sheffield, Rio in the 50m and 100m breast stroke and Robin the 100m breaststroke.
