Pullar and Gullen battle best at RideLondon-Surrey Classic
Pedal Heaven’s Jack Pullar, from Bolton-le-Sands, and Lancaster-based James Gullen, shared the road with the likes of Tour de France winner Chris Froome, who now moves onto Saturday’s Olympic men’s road race.
Commonwealth Games rider Pullar came home in the lead group in 39th alongside Froome while Gullen finished more than 20 minutes down in 104th.

Hide AdTom Boonen took the win after Geraint Thomas saw his breakaway thwarted by a late catch.
The Team Sky rider was within 5km of victory when the peloton reeled him in after a solo ride of around 50km through the streets of the capital.
The catch meant that the crowds on The Mall were set for a huge bunch sprint - with 35-year-old Boonen of Etixx-QuickStep crossing the line first.
