Morecambe CC make it two wins from two with Kendal success
Gareth Pedder and Liam Moffat took the honours for their performances in helping Morecambe to victory at Woodhill Lane.
Having won the toss and chosen to bat first, Morecambe were all out for 162 with one ball remaining of their 40 overs.

Hide AdThat was largely thanks to Pedder, who hit 10 boundaries in his top score of 75 before becoming the fifth man out with the score on 129.
Alex Briggs (8) had fallen early in the Morecambe innings, followed by Charlie Swarbrick (20) and Ryan Pearson (9).
They had rallied to reach 109-3 before losing their last seven wickets for 53 runs.
Joseph Dodds was the man largely responsible, taking five of those wickets to finish with 5-21.

Hide AdIn reply, Liam Moffat took two early wickets as Kendal slipped to 18-2.
A stand of 34 followed for the third wicket before Kieran Moffat got the better of James Park for an innings-high 31.
Ben Phillips (12) and Terry Hunte (5) followed to leave Kendal 68-5, only for a sixth-wicket stand of 48 to put them back in the game.
Swarbrick picked up the wickets of Saeed Bariwala (29) and Richard Dakin (0) in consecutive deliveries to leave Kendal 116-7.

Hide AdDodds (24) and Harry Lee (5) followed, and although Morecambe couldn’t take the 10th wicket, they had enough in hand as Kendal finished on 151-9 with Liam Moffat taking 4-26.
It means Morecambe sit top of Group D in the one-off competition replacing the Northern League and Palace Shield for this season.
They host Lancaster on Saturday (1pm) with their visitors looking for their first win of the season after back-to-back defeats.
The second of those came at Netherfield, where they went down by a margin of six wickets.

Hide AdAfter being asked to bat first, Lancaster were all out for 87 midway through the 40th over.
Danny Welbourne top-scored with 23 not out, while Uzair Shah (17) and wicketkeeper Steven Fisher (15) were the only other batsmen into double figures.
The damage was done mainly by Joel Derham and Isaac Medhurst, who picked up 4-10 and 3-17 respectively.
In reply, Netherfield claimed victory by reaching 91-4 in the 24th over.

Hide AdShah followed up his batting display with the wickets of Thomas Anderton (3), Finlay Richardson (3) and Bradley Earl (7) for figures of 3-17.
Irfan Qayyum (1-17) accounted for Oli Wileman (11) but skipper Ben Barrow made 40 not out and Josh Dixon 12 not out in helping Netherfield across the line.
