National League confirms when Morecambe’s 2026/27 fixtures will be published
The National League has published details of its key dates for the 2026/27 season.
Morecambe have found out when their National League North, FA Cup and FA Trophy campaigns will begin next season.
Key dates were confirmed over the weekend, with fixture release day taking place on Friday, July 10.
The Shrimps’ National League North season begins on Saturday, August 8, while the final day of the regular season will be on Saturday, April 24.
It was also announced that the promotion finals will be played over the weekend of May 8-9.
In terms of the Christmas and New Year fixtures, matches are due to be played on Boxing Day, December 28 and January 2.
However, clubs can request moving the December 28 fixture to the 29th or their January 2 match to New Year’s Day instead.
That will be subject to mutual agreement between the relevant teams involved within seven days of the fixtures being released.
As far as the FA Cup goes, Morecambe’s relegation back to regionalised football means they will enter the competition in the second qualifying round stage on Saturday, September 19.
They will then enter the FA Trophy in round two, which is due to take place on Saturday, November 14.
