Five young water polo players from Lancaster City Swimming and Water Polo Club have been selected to represent their region.

The juniors have made it into the North West Regional teams after spending seven hours at Salt Ayre last Saturday, January 4, at the North West Water Polo Academy.

Ellie Muncaster, Sam Murby and Katie Tuer, all 14, were selected on Sunday to represent the North West Girls in the Inter Regions being held on January 18 and 19 in Walsall.

Aaron Mason, 14, along with 12-year-old Mattie Alderson, both made the first cut and will be attending the final training and selection day on January 18 before their Inter Region competition on February 8 and 9.

These five players will be joined by another four Lancaster youngsters, Jordon Titley, Owain Llewellyn, Stefano Cossutti and Gwen Jackson who will be travelling down to Cardiff this weekend to attend England Talent trials.

Club coach Zak Sly will also be in Cardiff in his new post as one of the under 14 boys England Talent Coaches.
