Vale get back to action with Broughton Park test

Vale of Lune’s first team return to North One West action this Saturday, March 21.

Fergus Owen’s men, who have just four league games left this season, host Broughton Park at Powderhouse Lane having been without a game last weekend.

Saturday’s visitors sit seventh, two places and four points above the Vale in North One West.

Vale’s last game saw their mini revival of back-to-back victories end with a 19-12 defeat at Wigton.

Kick-off against Broughton Park is 3pm.

Vale’s second team took centre stage at Powderhouse Lane on Saturday in the absence of first team.

The A team saw off Chester 2nds 36-17 in the Brooke Edgley Specialist Technical Services Cup semi-final in a cracking cup tie.

Charlie Lomas, Tom Cvijanovic, Michael Barker , James Alker, Simon Harriand Ollie Dobson scored the tries.

Kirkby Lonsdale also return from a free weekend with a visit to New Brighton on Saturday.

The Cumbrians sit second in the table having narrowly beaten rivals Penrith 20-18 at Underley Park last time out.
