In the Lancaster and Morecambe Table Tennis League Premier Division, Trimpell Bulldogs were beaten 12-24 by University A.
Ray Carr won man of the match with a fine display to defeat the league individual champion Alex Tyson 11-9, 11-4, 12-10.
The University trio recovered from this set back win six of the final seven sets, including winning the doubles by Tyson and Xiao Collins.
Dragons were also beaten, 13 – 24, by University A.
Dereck Metcalf, Dudley Jackson and Daniel Welbourne had to give second best to a strong University team who are making up lost ground in their search for league honours.
In the Championship, Barbarians won 29–9 against Morecambe.
The home team dominated this match from the start and moved into a seven set lead before Ken Richardson won a set too late to affect the final result.
Ken Riley won the match of the day, defeating Richardson 3-1 in the second set of the match.
Riley and Mike White dominated the doubles winning 11-6, 11–8, 11-5, against Adam Ordenez and Abinhav Sinha.
