Morecambe’s Isle of Man TT legend John McGuinness will be amongst the stars at this weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The Honda rider will be part of the two-wheeled action headlined by Moto GP great Valentino Rossi.
McGuinness will head up the hill in the grounds of Goodwood House in Sussex on the CBR1000RR Fireblade he took to victory in this year’s Senior TT, his 23rd Isle of Man TT triumph.
The 43-year-old will also go out on the Honda’s road-legal MotoGP bike as the RC213V-S makes its UK debut.
Elsewhere Bentham-based rally driver David Wright will take on the stars of the World Rally Championship.
It is the fourth time that Wright has been invited to the event and he will use his ex-Carlos Sainz Ford Focus WRC.
He said: “It’s a huge honour to be invited to take part in the event.
“The forest rally stage will see a variety of cars running with everything from classic 1960s Minis to the latest World Rally Championship machines.
“It’s a brilliant event – as well as the rally stage there is also a hillclimb course has an entry including several Formula 1 cars.
“There’s usually a good mix of celebs there too!“
The Festival of Speed starts on Friday morning with the action continuing on Saturday and Sunday.
